Learning Nature-I

Neel and me watching birds when we have leisure morning even afternoon. We observed our backyard birds through our windows and recorded as much as information. This practice of bird watching is now a regular habitat of Neel. Now he can able to identify common birds around our home at Barpeta, Dhemaji, and  Guwahati. Neel is now keeping one daily register to keep recorded all the information of birds as per my guidance.  

Neel and Mama(uncle) verify bird's name over the internet

During the month of January, we have counted more than 300 backyards birds in Barpeta. Each morning we spent 2-3 hours on our terrace and counted avifauna. It was so amazing that Neel's uncle too involved in this practice and for the first time he also involved in amazing bird watching hobby. We used Dr. Salim Ali's famous Indian Bird book as our guide of identification. Following area some some birds which we have watched :

Above all these birds we have recorded lesser adjutant strock, parrot, kite, bubbler, Indian crow, robin, sunbirds. We shall declare details of our birds counting information later on.
